Three Years!

Yay! It’s the third anniversary for when I started Illustrated Prayer!

YEP. This has been going on for THREE YEARS NOW.

Hooray!

I’ve written over three hundred blogs(!!!) and shown off hundreds of artwork for you guys, which is actually pretty incredible, if you think about it. I’ve also made five different books full of beautiful religious artwork (check them out over here, if you would like!) and am working on a couple more too. (What can I say? I love making books! :))

Also, did I mention that I’ve had two babies in this whole time?

I’m still in shock of how things have turned out… I am so, so blessed to be able to share with you all this beautiful artwork and a hint of the Beauty of God.

Anyway, since it’s Illustrated Prayer’s birthday today, I would like to share with you something that I made…

Picture of my son!
My son! Aka, Number 4.

He’s quite little still, as you can see, and I’ve been quite distracted as of late from maintaining my blog properly! What can I say? Babies take a lot of work!

And yet, my hands are full in the best way possible, and I can’t even begin to express how blessed I feel.

Anyway, thank you so much for all of your support these last three years!

When I first started this ministry of sorts, I was definitely afraid. After all, the Gospel is so, so beautiful, and I was afraid I would somehow be messing up the delivery of the Good News somehow. Even though my priest encouraged all of to evangelize in whatever way we could, I was still so nervous that I would mess it up somehow. And so, I prayed and I stumbled on this image…

And it occurred to me that perhaps it would be okay to be a simple voice in the wilderness, just like Saint John the Baptist. As long as I always pointed the way to Jesus Christ, who is Our Lord and Savior, that everything would somehow work itself it out.

And so far? It’s been wonderful.

So, again, thank you so much for everything.

Here’s to three years, and many more to come!
