Bookshop and Paperback Books

There are a LOT of things going on here! A lot of things! And so, I would like to do a quick update!

Still, if you would rather have a short update, the short version is:

We have a new, working bookshop! It’s fully secure and it helps directly support me and my family! Plus, it helps fund future creative endeavors by me… as well as helps me maintain this website. 🙂 You can order my books here!

Paperback versions of all the books are coming November 20!

The Bookshop

Several people have asked if they could buy directly from me!

At first, this was fairly easy to do in person, because most of the requests were local. My family and I are active in our parishes and we were able to connect with them and deliver the books that way by hand. And, what can I say? I’m a big believer in starting ministries small within the home parish and then, if that is successful, expanding from that!

But, in the last year, the demand for these books has grown quite a bit to the point where in-person deliveries are sometimes impossible. And, while the books are in stock on Amazon and Barnes and Noble, I’ve heard two complaints so far from people who had Amazon inexplicably cancel their order of my books. (Though! To be fair to Amazon, most of the transactions have been successful, so there’s that! But still.)

And so, for the last couple of months, I’ve been developing an online store.

This whole process has been quite a lengthy and involved one. I’ve had to apply for a business license to operate an official store, so Illustrated Prayer is now registered in the State of Washington as a small business! (Which honestly seems weird because this is supposed to be a ministry to make it easier to pray the Rosary, and yet now I’m a business?) I’ve had to work with various companies to encrypt the website so that I could make sure every single transaction was safe and secure. I’ve had to test it and make sure that I was able to receive every order.

…like I said, this whole process has taken months.

But now, it’s done.

So, if you would like to buy it directly from me and live in the United States, you can! I’ll even give you a cool bookmark. Did I mention free shipping? Because I’ll send it to you for free! Click here to take a look at the bookshop!

Here is the front and back of the Bookmark that I made! The art is called “The Madonna of the Book” so I like to call this “The Madonna of the Bookmark.” 😉

Of course! If you prefer to use Amazon or Barnes and Noble of course, I am fine with that. 🙂 There are links to both Amazon and Barnes and Noble on each of the book pages, just in case you would prefer that!

Paperback Versions

There are paperback versions of all of my books coming out! This is what they look like:

Paperback copies of the Illustrated Rosary series. Via
These are the paperbacks! They are large books — 8 inches by 10 inches — and contain the same inside material as the hardcover books.

And this is a huge thing… the hardcover versions are beautiful and sturdy and so nice in so many ways. If you’re going to use and reuse the book over and over again, I would suggest getting hardcover copies, just because they will hold up much longer.

BUT. Hardcover books are expensive to make, and so I have to price them accordingly. And, considering that there are four sets of Rosary mysteries, that can get very expensive really quick, especially if you’re on a budget.

And so I am super excited to announce to you that the Rosary set is coming out in paperback!

Mind you! The quality of the book is still very good. The cover feels nice. The paperback proof of The Joyful Mysteries that I’ve had for a year has lasted surprisingly long, considering that my oldest daughter (now 4) has decided that this is her book.

Comparison of Hardcover vs. Paperback. Via
Here’s a comparison of the Hardcover (left) and the Paperback (right versions. So, still nice and large! The main difference is the cover is soft and not as sturdy on the paperback version.

It’ll also be available on my shop in just a little bit!

Final Words

Anyway, thank you so much for all of your support! This website is supported primarily through book sales, and I feel so blessed that I get to share with you beautiful artwork of our Lord!
